Czech Golf Development

was established in June 2007 upon finishing one of the top recently built golf courses in the Czech Republic, a private club Casa Serena by Kutna Hora. Establishing the company was a logical conclusion of successful work on this golf project performed for a third party. Jakub Červenka was hired by the investor as Project Manager and Construction Supervisor responsible for coordination of the entire job while Pavel Hrdina, Michal Čermák and Jan Pištěk’s corporation supplied the irrigation system. Emphasis on quality and well performed, professional work, above the local standards, brought about the idea of starting a common project – Czech Golf Development Ltd.

Czech Golf Development has shortly after its foundation become renowned in the Czech, and shortly thereafter in the Slovak, circles of golf course construction and golf project implementation suppliers, namely for its high quality work, professionalism and professional care with which it approaches each and every project. It was our stress on high quality of provided services and years of experience in the field that allowed us to participate on works at prestigious golf construction sites. Golf projects that we have worked on are highly appreciated and valued both by the golf public and press.

Each of us has its unique role in the team based on his knowledge and experience. Years of experience allow us to provide golf advisory and consultancy, management and operations of golf course construction sites, perform on-site professional and technical supervision, design the overall golf course layouts or irrigation systems, provide support in the area of golf course maintenance and offer various other aspects of the job connected with golf. Variety of experience and expertise within the team allow us to always offer a complex package to the golf course investor.

Czech Golf Design

has become our new specialised division based on demand by clients of Czech Golf Development. Since we started providing construction and technical supervision for golf course constructions, we were actively involved in partial construction and technical adjustments. Consecutively, we started receiving requests for designing entire golf courses. A few such projects have already been successfully finished and a few more are still in progress.

Our golf course projects always honour the following principles: the safety of the play to begin with, secondly the aim to make the golf course an integral part of its surrounding landscape, and last, but not least, stress on the play itself. This must be reflected in each aspect of the design together with the basic principle of balancing out the three main types of holes: the heroic, the punishing and the strategic. Our projects are not characterised by a unique and always repeated script, but quite to the contrary. We always adjust the designed golf course according to the character of the surrounding nature, draw on the power of its “genius loci” and follow the investor’s requests.

We design golf courses for all types of investors. Our portfolio ranges from low-budget nine-hole courses to large-scale international projects. With the low-budget projects, we are mainly interested in finding an optimal way of providing the greatest effect upon minimising costs and the use of resources. With large-scale projects we are able to employ some of our ideas and details that would be (and usually are) more costly to build.
